The Villa has always been a reference ...

This patronal residence is mentioned in various documents and books that tell the history of the municipality of Virgilio, once called Quattroville.

These photos date back to the late 1950s.

At that time, the villa passed into the ownership of the Bertelli family because during the last years of the war it had been occupied by a fascist command led by a certain ‘Dr Giovannini’.

The property was called ‘Bianca’.

Cerese is a hamlet in the municipality of Virgilio.

The Property began with a low building and then included adjacent to the road, dwelling houses, the garden, the Villa and the ‘Bianca’ farm of about 60 manorial blocks.

At the time of the war, the Villa was occupied by a very large fascist command at the head of which was a feared oligarch: Dr Giovannini.

After the war Giovannini was executed and his sister Giacomina sold the property to Bertelli Dr Cesare, grandfather of the present owner.
